Kitsune are fox spirits with the ability to shapeshift, often into beautiful women, and are associated with both good and bad omens. In Japanese mythology, a Kitsune gains tails as it ages, with nine tails signifying immense power, wisdom, and age (around 1,000 years old). They are also linked to the Chinese nine-tailed fox, Huli Jing, which is considered an auspicious symbol.
This Kitsune was out and about on a dark night, stalking rabbits, when suddenly, the clouds blew away to reveal the last crescent of a waning moon.
This is one of those times when the glass inspired the design idea for me. It's a beautiful orange mix with pink hues rippling through it.
The moon is a synthetic moonstone.
The piece is assembled inside a large metal ring, giving it extra strength and stability.
Two small rings are soldered to it and hold a dainty but strong metal chain, to hang your Kitsune above a window or a light.
Unique piece! I made only one, there is no other like this in the world.
