Hi, I'm Leslie, and I'm the owner of Glass Alive.

I started creating stained glass art in 2023, and it quickly became a passion. 

How Glass Alive was born

At first, I only made gifts, despite multiple people urging me to sell my creations. I did not want to turn a wonderful hobby into a chore necessary to pay the bills!

What changed? I had an extended sick leave from my day job. Guess what I did with it (at least during the time I was ok-ish). LOTS of stained glass! 

Result: I had quite a few pieces stocked up, and I enjoyed myself more than I would have in front of a computer. So I decided to take the plunge, without quitting the day job (bills still have to be paid!).

Hand-crafted in Ireland

And very rural Ireland, too! I am located in the South West of Ireland, near Blarney, on one acre of green, green land. I renamed the place Fangorn, planted lots of trees, and populated it with all sorts of rescued animals. 

Walking around Fangorn, you will see lots of stained glass, but also meet cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, and goats. My love for nature and animals is reflected in many of my creations.
